Easy Snowman Die Cut DIY Card

Happy Tuesday crafty friends,
Today I am sharing a cute, quick and easy card you can easily recreate. It features a super cute snowman die cut from the new Cottage Cutz release. Here is my card.
It is a standard top folding A4 card. It is a very easy card that you can recreate and make several for the upcoming holiday season.
I started by cutting out some base dies and some corresponding mats from some patterned paper. The paper is from an Echo Park 6x6 paper pad. I used the Pierced Circle Die set and the double stitched rectangle die set for the die cut bases and then cut some mats from the patterned paper to fit. For the circle, I used the next size down in the die set. The base of the card is a white cardstock cut at 4.25 x 11 and folded at the 5.5 mark to make it a top folding card.

I then went to work on that super cute snowman. I cut him out in all white cardstock. My typical MO. I then colored him in with corresponding colors to the papers I chose. I love doing this method so I can come close to the colors and not have to have so many different paper colors. After coloring the snowman, I assembled him and added him on to the card top I then cut out the stay warm from one of the pieces of paper, You could just as easily  use a stamp or another die cut for a sentiment.

Here's a view of the card standing up and slightly angled. I think it turned out super cute and very clean.

Winter Snowman (New Die)

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

It's new release time!!! We have our Christmas 2023 release in the online store that has 40 designs. It's an old-fashioned Christmas theme. You can pick up the bundle at 50% off or the individual dies at 30% off for a limited time.

We also have a new Fall 2023 release in the online store with 15 designs. You can pick up the bundle at 50% off or the individual dies at 30% off for a limited time.

Today for your viewing pleasure, I am featuring the new Holly Frame and the Winter Snowman dies. So, let's get started on some details of how I created my card.

Design Steps:
I started by cutting the Holly frame die in a Christmas green cardstock. We haven't had a die like this before, and I thought the center opening would work to showcase the new snowman die.
Next, I cut my snowman from cardstocks and gave him a red Christmas scarf.
I wanted a sentiment on the card front and I decided to use the Merry Christmas phrase from an older CottageCutz die. It's the Merry Christmas w/Deer family from our 2018 release.
I am using a white card base behind the frame and for the center cut-out portion I cut another piece of cardstock and stenciled some clouds.
White Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Stenciled panel 2" x 3 3/4"
Now that my elements are prepared, I am ready to start card assembly. I attached the stenciled panel to the holly frame.
I attached the snowman using dimensional adhesive. On his little sign I added a sticker with the word "peace".
To complete my card, I attached the Merry Christmas phrase and also decided to add some red berries to the Holly Frame.
That's it for me for this post. See you next Saturday!

Let it snow

Hi, Janja here!

Thank you very much for all 34 beautiful cards and projects you've made for Challenge #7. Two lucky winners will be announced at the end of this post.
So, stay tuned.

We have entered into the penultimate month of the year. Snow has not yet surprised us, and therefore I took care today for thick snow cover.

For the card we need:
- white card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 5 x 5" (12,7 x 12,7 cm)
- white and color cardstock
- Distress ink: Iced Spruce, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass

Trim patterned paper and white cardstock for the card base. Also prepare a strip of patterned paper. Tear it with hands.
From white cardstock cut out jingle bells and oval with the 2nd die from oval set. Stamp "Let it snow".

Even today will not go without snowy trees. Shadow some of them with Distress ink and paste a snow. The other are left white.

Cut out adorable snowman with a winter snowman die.

On the background first attach white spruces. Put snow-covered spruces on them with self-adhesive foam pads. Attach the tape from patterned paper and put a snowman with jingle bells on it.
Apply glitter on the jingle bells and snow-cowered spruces.

Happy Winter!

Good morning, and welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog!  It's Lorie here today, and I sincerely hope that you ALL have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas celebration.  We've had gorgeous weather here in mid MO, for this time of year, with highs near 50 degrees, and lots of sunshine.  Not so Christmas like, but nice just the same.  My card today kind of reflects the kind of mood I'm in, because I'm one that likes the change of seasons, and yes, I even like winter.  I enjoy snow, and all the wonderful and fun things the first snowfall brings, like sledding, and bonfires, and snowmen.  So, with that being said, here's my Happy Winter card for you!  ;-)
This Winter Snowman Cottage Cutz die is so perfect for ALL your winter cards and projects.  I just left out a few of the accessories included with this cutie to make him more of a general winter character than a Christmas one.  He's ready for some snowy fun, just like we are!!

Wishing you a bright and beautiful day and happy crafting!
