CottageCutz Halloween Scene

Good morning!  Happy Sunday to you, and welcome to The Scrapping Cottage Blog!  It's Lorie here from The ThINKin' Spot  today to share another Halloween card with you.  As the time for ghosts and goblins draws near, it's fun to play with  CottageCutz dies, creating cute cards and projects to share with all the spooky and cute  Halloween visitors.

This card was created using the CottageCutz Potions Table 4x6 die.  I cut these pieces using colored card stock and sponged the edges using distress ink to define the edges and give some vintage style shading.  I arranged the pieces a bit differently than pictured below, and  there are still so many more ways you could arrange the scene or create new scenes with the variety of pieces that are a part of this die.  Awesome possibilities for being creative!!   I left the sentiment out for now, but a simple Happy Halloween, or "Welcome To My Lair" would be great choices for this card.

Here's a look at the complete die and if you click on it, it will direct you right to The Scrapping Cottage Store, where you will find it, along with so many wonderful dies.  Don't forget to check out our newest releases for harvest and Christmas seasons!  They are stunning!!

So glad you could visit today!  Thanks for sharing part of your day with us!  Have a glorious day filled with blessings and LOTS of happy crafting!

CottageCutz :: Happy Halloween Puppy

Good morning, CottageCutz fans!  I hope this beautiful Sunday is treating you well.  It's Lorie from The ThINKin' Spot here today with my first CottageCutz Halloween card with the newest Halloween dies!  Woohoo!  This is my favorite time of year for both being outside, AND creating.  I guess it must be the weather, because it's absolutely gorgeous, as are all of the Fall colors we'll soon be enjoying!

I received some wonderful CottageCutz dies in the mail this week from the Halloween Release at The Scrapping Cottage.   Here's my card for today...
Isn't this little costumed puppy the sweetest little Halloween pup ever?
I used Basic Grey Paper and combined it with some glittery orange card stock, along with some of my favorite embellishments and ribbon.

Here's a closer look at this cutie.  I cut him out with white card stock and colored him in with Copic markers.  I didn't get a photo of my markers this time, but for the puppy, I used C1, C3, and C5,  and for the spots and hat, I used C1-C9.  The hatband is done with V01,V04, V06, and V09.  The moon and star were both colored with Y21 and shaded with Y23.  After I had this all colored, I added some sponging to the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink in vinatge photo.

Now, a look at the CottageCutz dies I used with direct links to find them in the store.

CottageCutz Stack 'O Frogs

Good morning!  Well, it's just not every day that you'll see a stack of frogs, so please count this as YOUR lucky day!  :-)  It's Lorie from The ThINKin' Spot here today to share with you a fun and cute Halloween card that I created with my CottageCutz dies.
Fall and Halloween crafting is my favorite, and these sweet dies make it so much fun!  The frogs were cut with Copic X-press It Blending Card and colored with the Copic markers shown below.  This Chillingsworth Manor paper worked so well, because I think that little frog actually looks like he's conducting, which was indeed a perfect fit with the music note background.  I gave these froggies some extremely rosy cheeks by simply using chalk and a stiff bristle paint brush.

Here's a look at the die I used for this card with a link to find it fast in The Scrapping Cottage Store.  Just click on the picture and it will take you right to it.

Wishing you a bright and beautiful day filled with everything you love!  Happy crafting!!

CottageCutz Happy Wedding Day

Hello and happy Sunday to you!  Oh, what a glorious Sunday it is for us, (and it's Lorie here today, BTW), because it's RAINING!!  We've seen little more than a drop here and there for almost exactly 4 months!  We're DEFINITELY doing the happy dance today!!  Another reason for happy dances would certainly be weddings, and I have a card to share with you on this rainy day that was made with CottageCutz dies from the Wedding Release at The Scrapping Cottage.    Here's the card I created with the dies, which I'll list below.
This is the fabulous CottageCutz die I used to create this card:

Here's a close-up picture of the car.  I thought you'd like to see the gorgeous sparkle that I gave this piece by spritzing it with some Shimmer Mist (Frost).  It IS a wedding card after all, and ya just can't have a wedding card without some bling.  At least I can't!  ;-)
I used a variety of Copic markers shown in the photo below to color the image, which was cut with Express It Blending Card.  The VERY best choice for coloring with Copic markers, in my humble opinion.  Oops!  Looks like I've got BOTH of my N4 markers in there!  LOL!!
Here's a closer look at the entire card.

And again, here is the finished card.  The sentiment comes from Stampin' Up!, as does that beautiful ribbon.  I added a few rhinestones to the cans, for yet a little more bling.  Gotta LOVE that bling!!

Thanks so very much for visiting The Scrapping Cottage Blog today!  We always love to have you stop by!  I hope you have a blessed and beautiful day, and that you're finding reasons to be doing the happy dance, too!  Happy crafting!!

CottageCutz ~ Pretty Birthday Wishes

Good morning!  How's it going today?  I hope you're having a wonderful week, and are ready for an even more wonderful weekend.  Lorie here today to share my first project with the new Wedding Release CottageCutz dies from The Scrapping Cottage.  WOW, are there ever some fun designs, and Cottage Cutz fans have been asking for these designs for quite some time!  You're just gonna LOVE them!!

For my card today, I decided to take the dress from the wedding collection and make it into a birthday card.  Is there a lady you know who wouldn't love to receive a card made with this?  I used some lacy paper from my stash to cut the layers for the dress and I sponged the edges with a bit of Stampin' Up!  Basic Gray ink, just to give them a little more depth.  Each layer is popped up with foam dots for even more depth, and this gorgeous dress was screaming for some bling, so I was happy to oblige.  Some individual rhinestones, a rhinestone strip, and rhinestone flourishes were just the ticket to finish this beauty off.

Here's the die I used for this card:

Thanks so much for visiting The Scrapping Cottage Blog today!  I hope you have a very blessed and beautiful day, filled with all things crafty!

CottageCutz I ♥ My Dog

Good morning!  It's Lorie here today to share a cute little 6x6 scrapbook page made with some adorable CottageCutz dies.  I love 6x6 pages, for so many reasons, but primarily because they are quick and easy.  Scrapbooking doesn't come so easy to me, and I always feel like I've REALLY accomplished something when I can get several 6x6 pages finished.  So, on with the project for today!
In making this fun little page, I used the following CottageCutz dies from The Scrapping Cottage:

All of the die cut pieces were cut with white card stock and colored with various Copic markers.  The patterned paper is a fabulous find from DCWV, and the picture really doesn't do the beautifully embossed paper justice.  The fibers added a nice finishing touch and great texture to this page, and now it's ready for a photo of my favorite pup.  Like so many people, I ♥ my puppies, and I've always got pictures of them doing sweet and funny things, so there are a multitude of occasions to scrapbook, and these dies will fit the bill every time, giving me many, many options for great layouts.  Hope you like it!!

Have a blessed and beautiful day and happy scrappin' to ya!

CottageCutz Sweet Little Baby

Good morning!  Well, it's Monday, and I hope it's shaping up to be a good one for ya.  Have you seen  this baby release from The Scrapping Cottage?  It just couldn't have come at a better time.  I spent the weekend celebrating two new babies that are to be born into our family within the next 4-6 weeks.  My niece will welcome her second little one at the end of next month, and on September 12th, my second grandson will make his debut.  It's so wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate these special blessings and that made it easy to find inspiration for creating this sweet card.
In creating this, I used the following amazing Cottage Cutz dies:

The adorable little baby elephant was cut out using Express It Blending Card, and I colored it with Copic markers.  On the beautifully detailed large baby doily and frame, I used a very heavy weight card stock, so that it would be stronger in order to hold the flowers and baby elephant die cut.  The flowers, turquoise grosgrain ribbon and sentiment from Stampin' Up! finished this one up, and on, what fun it was!!

I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to an amazing start.  Thanks for joining us here on The Scrapping Cottage Blog.  Have a fabulous day!!!

CottageCutz Flowers To Brighten Your Day

Good morning!  It's Lorie here today to share a card filled with bright and beautiful flowers all made with wonderful CottageCutz dies.  Making gorgeous cards and scrapbook pages is so easy with these beautiful dies and they turn out perfectly every time!!
I thought this pretty paper from Bo Bunny was a good match to the leaves on this Tropical Trio Flower CottageCutz Die, and the Lace Flower Doily die made a great backdrop for the bright and beautiful cluster of flowers.  I simply chose colors from the polka dots in the paper to make everything coordinate

Here's a closer look at the gorgeous detail from the flowers.  I added some tiny pink rhinestones for just a touch of bling.  Below you'll find photos and links to the dies I used to create this card.

Wishing you a bright and beautiful day and a weekend filled with wonderful things!  Happy Friday and happy crafting!
