Bee Happy

Hi Janja here. Welcome to the blog today.
In the following posts, I will be creating my samples with dies from past releases. Cottage Cutz dies offer many combination options.

- CottageCutz dies: Birthday Party Bear, Gingerbread Baking Set, Spooky Cake, Beehives, Stitched Alphabet
- card blank: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" (10,8 x 14 cm), folded
- white and brown cardstock
- vellum paper
- stencil - honeycomb
- ink pads
- glue, double-sided adhesive tape, self-adhesive foam pads

Start by die-cutting a bear and bees.
For a bowl full of honey, I used a gingerbread baking set. I cut a dripping honey edge out with a spooky cake die, and shorted it with scissors.

Cut each letter four times for more depth.

Cut out white cardstock for the background.
Now add the honeycomb pattern to the white background. Use a sponge or brush and apply color over the stencil.

First, paste the letters to the lower part. Then attach the bear to the upper edge of the letters with self-adhesive pads. Lastly, paste the remaining letters and bees.

Completed card.

Thank you for stopping by.

Bear With Pumpkins

Hi!

It's Anja here. I have an Autumn card for you today. I created this scene using a cute little bear, surrounded with pumpkins.

For this card I used:
- Cottage Cutz dies (Birthday Party Bear, Autumn Centerpiece, Autumn Sweets, Fall Phrases),
- Distress Inks,
- craft card base (15x15 cm),
- white card stock for die cuts and background (14,5x14,5 cm),
- brushes,
- adhesive foam pads,
- black pen,
- white pen,
- paper glue.

First I cut and colored the bear. I used black and white pen (not photographed) for the Bear's eyes.

Next I colored all the pumpkins and the leaves.

Then moved to the background. I used brushes to color. Last I colored around the edges with some orange.

Then I just needed the sentiment. I used lighter one for coloring and darker to emphasize the edges.

And then I just arranged and glued all pieces together. I used adhesive foam pads to glue the bear. And my card was done.

Before I go I just want to remind you to check the store for all the new goodies that are still available for 25 % off.

Have a nice Sunday.

Anja Z.

Celebrate!

Happy Friday Cottage Cutz fans.  It's Jeanne posting today.  Christmas is just around the corner and I've made a card for you that could easily be adapted to Christmas or other celebration just by changing the colors and paper.  Today I made it a birthday card.
This card goes together very quickly.  I cut most pieces from white card stock.  For the cat, balloon and present I used colored or patterned paper.
I used alcohol markers to color the white pieces to match the colors in the patterned papers and glued the pieces together.
I chose some coordinating paper and cut an A2 panel and a square from the second largest of the Nested Wacky Stitched Squares along with the word Celebrate in red.
I angled the square in the lower right corner and added the cat, present, balloon and sentiment.
Finally, I popped the cupcake up using a foam dot and added some sequins.

Let's celebrate

Hi, Janja here!

Today, I share with you an invitation to celebrate a child's birthday.

Supplies:
- CottageCutz dies: Celebrate Phrase, Balloons variety, Birthday Party BearSpring Grass, Stitched Wide Square Frame Set
- white card base: 5.3 x 5.3" (13,5 x 13,5 cm), folded
- patterned paper: 5 x 5" (12,6 x 12,6 cm)
- white and colored cardstock
- Distress inks: Antuque Linen, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn, Vintage Photo

As usual, first cut out all the pieces to compose a motive. In our case, this is a bear. Also prepare a few balloons, celebrate phrase, grass and a white frame. For the frame, use the largest die of the set.

On a light blue cardstock print "Let's", which will be supplemented with cutout "celebrate".
Trim patterned paper, and white card base for an invitation.

Create clouds on a light blue cardstock with cloud stencil and Distress ink pad - Tumbled Glass.

Begin by assembling the invitation.
With a large number of invitations, pay attention that the layout is not too demanding.
First paste background with clouds and white frame in the middle of patterned paper. Use double-sided adhesive tape.

To catch the middle of card base, paste double-sided adhesive tape on the back side of our background. Fix a tape on the edges along the entire length.

Remove only a part of the protective strip. Place all together on a white card base. Since the protective strip is not removed completely, we can easy move the cardstock on the base. When we are sure it is in the middle, place a finger on the base, and pull the protective strips.

Thank you for coming over and have a nice day.
