More Classic 50's - Card & Scrapbook Layout

Hello CottageCutz friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with us today. It's still Black Friday release week here on the Blog.

We have been featuring group posts for the past week to give you lots of inspiration on different ways to use the dies. If you missed any of the posts, just check back on the Blog for lots of eye candy. Today, we have 2 samples for  you from Design Team member, Jen Hartsgrove. 

Card 1:  Turning 50 and images from the 50's are so perfect for the card Jen created to celebrate this milestone birthday. She used the Fifties Soda Bar and the Fifties Phrases #1 dies to create a fabulous scene from the era where soda fountains were the rage. 

Her background designer paper is a great choice for "wallpaper". So much detail with this new die- check out the juke box on the counter! Don't you just love it!!!

Project 2:  Jen has been showing us quite a few layouts over the past couple of months. Check out our YouTube channel if you are a scrapbooker. All of our dies are so easy to add to any scrapbook layout. 

On this 8 x 8 layout Jen used the Fifties Diner and the Fifties Phrases #2 die. So perfect for the car hop they host each summer at her restaurant in Maine. How fun would that be for a 50's throwback! Her daughters and nieces are the car hop waitresses. 

The Diner die has lots of detail as well. Here is a close up photo.

Merry Christmas 8x8 Layout

Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back with another  CottageCutz YouTube video on the CottageCutz Channel.  I decided to go with another layout this week, I had this picture just hanging out on my refrigerator for several years, and it needed a home!  I embellished my page using "North Pole Santa" and "Merry Christmas Phrase w/ Tree", they are both part of the latest release, "Christmas Part 2".

My green base cardstock is 8" x 8", and the red snowflake paper is 7.75" x 7.75".  I found papers in my stash that I thought matched well together and gave my layout a fun whimsical vibe.

Cozy Winter Fireplace Layout

Hey Krafty Friends, Jen from Katahdin Krafts, back with another  CottageCutz YouTube  video on the CottageCutz Channel.  This week I am featuring the "Cozy Winter Fireplace" die, from the latest "Christmas Part 2" release.  There are 36 designs in this release, and they are all so adorable!

I created a 12 x 12 Christmas Layout, and embellished it with this cozy scene.  I have really enjoyed scrappin' again, and I have found the Cottage Cutz dies work so well with my pages.  

I prepared my page for future photos, and a title.  I also left an area to add vertical number stickers for the year I choose to document.   My photo mats are 2 - 6.5" x 4.5", 1 - 4" x 4" and my title space is 6.5" x 1.75".

It was so exciting getting back to my original passion...scrapbooking!  I am way behind on my memory keeping, and when I saw this release, I knew instantly that they would make a great layout.

100% Country Scrapbook Page

Hi! It's Janet with SugarShine Designs here to share with you my very first post as a video designer for CottageCutz. I'm so happy to be given the opportunity to share projects with you. You will see a variety of projects from me including scrapbook pages, cards and other dimensional projects.

Today's project is a scrapbook page featuring the adorable stamp and die set, Farm Animals. This set is so cute! I couldn't help but use them in a page about my family's visit to a ranch in Arizona a few years ago. This set has so many applications that I'm sure you'll see these animals show up in some of my future projects.

For the photo mats, I used three stitched die cut shape sets including the circle, oval and square sets. I also used the double-stitched rectangle set which adds a unique look. The Spring Grass die is used in the page's title.

Best Buds!

Hi Scrappy Friends! I have a layout to share today that celebrates the friendship my sister Lori has had with her best friend Rachel for the past 30 years. It's hard to find true friends and I would say that they have both been blessed !

I thought it would be fun to use the title "Best Buds" as a play on words for all of the lovely flowers I made using one of the newest dies from CottageCutz - Sweetheart Flowers Layered. This is a wonderful flower die, that you can combine in so many different ways for so many different looks. Mine are a little on the distressed side, with lots of crumpling and shaping, and and heat embossing. But here's the package, to give you an idea of another way to make these flowers.

Fair Fun!

What have you done for fun this summer? Have you gone to any amusement parks or fairs, or how about a great 4th of July Celebration? Well, if so, then pull out your pictures and get ready to scrap! I have to admit, the photo that I used is about 3 years old - but it was perfect for what I had in mind. The Fireworks paper looks absolutely spectacular for my Fair Fun layout. I used the new carnival release from CottageCutz dies - which you are going to love. I was actually able to use 5 different sets of dies on this page! The others are all so cute, I was wishing I could have fit more on the page!
