B Spring Daffodils and Tulips Table Decor Sign

Hey crafty friends,
So glad you stopped in today! It is my turn to share on the Cottage Cutz blog. So I created this cute "B" sign that will be a part of my table decor.

Here's another view of my sign. I started with a piece of white cardstock measuring 5x7. I then added a mat of some designer paper I created. I then cut out the pretty Trellis background die. I layered that onto some cream cardstock. I cut the B out of some yellow cardstock and then cut out the daffodils, tulips and butterfly from some cardstock and then colored and shaded the various white pieces.  In case you're wondering I used a capital B as that is the first letter of our last name :-).

Here's a closer look at the pretty folk art butterfly. I colored the detail pieces with my yellow markers. However the wings were cut from some red cardstock.

I used the smallest pierced circle die to place a tulip head onto with some of the foliage. All of the leaves started out as plain white cardstock. I just used my markers to color them. I mounted the B onto some foam tape and then onto the mat. This gave it some lift and I thought it made it look very nice.

Here is one last look at my completed sign. I thought it turned out so festive and with a ton of cheerful spring vibes.

So Lucky Slimline Paper Piecing Card

Hey crafty friends,
Melinda here with you on this Terrific Tuesday! Can you believe it is already March? My goodness how time is flying! Today I am sharing a fun card I created with some cute dies from Cottage Cutz. Take a look.

Here is another view of my card. The base is a 4 x 9 side fold base of Marigold Cardstock. I used some rectangle stitched slimline dies and cut out a white one and a smaller one with the polka dot patterned paper I created.

Here's a closer look at the cute little "pot of gold". It was actually a "witches" cauldron I made the bubbles in yellow. I cut the shoes in white and then colored them in green and colored the yellow buckles. I also used the Alphabet and the same marker that I used for some of the gold coins I colored the YOU. I also lightly dusted the edges of the black cauldron with white. I then attached it to a white circle stitched die that I cut some of the patterned paper I created.

Here's a closer look at my little Leprechaun. He was actually a Christmas Baker Gnome. I just switched up his colors and then made his hat. I also added him to another circle stitched circle in some more of the patterned paper I create.

Here is a closer look at the darling little rainbow from the rainbow die. I just used a variety of my markers for the colors. I didn't use the typical rainbow colors but rather ones that I thought would work for my card. I also used my blue marker to put some outlines on the little clouds that are a part of the die set.

Here is a closer look at my title So and Lucky. I used the same alphabet I cut in white and then colored with my markers. I then just wrote to have in one of the clouds. I also cut out a variety of more pierced circles in a variety of my patterned papers.

Here are some photos showing how I pieced his little hat together. In the top left, that is the piece that the little bakers hat is. I just cut it down as shown. I then free handed the top of the hat you see it in the bottom left photos. I then traced the piece and then attached them. The bottom right shows the pieces assembled and in the back of the hat.

Here are some more photos showing some additional details for his little clover, I used the flower from the little garden flowers die set. You can see how the die is in white. you can see in my "clover" looking flower I cut the middle point out on each of the four petals to create the clover. On the top right I simply colored a piece of my cardstock anhd then used a hole punch to punch out several more small circles. In the lower right, you see the little leprechaun guy coming together.

Polar Bears w/ Birch Tree Die Cut Card And Flash Sale!

Hey crafty friends,
So glad you stopped in today! It's another Terrific Tuesday and I am sharing a new cute, quick and easy card with some of the amazing Cottage Cutz dies. Take a look!

Here's the star of today's card. This sweet little Polar Bears w/ Birch Trees die from Cottage Cutz!
I started by cutting out all the little pieces to the cute little Bears with Birch Trees die set. I cut them all out in white cardstock. I then colored them in accordingly.

Once I colored my pieces I added them to a stitched circle die mat and then added a piece of cute patterned paper to that circle for a layering mat. These delicious papers are all from the Echo Park Paper Pad I had in my stash from a couple years ago. I am a serious paper horder and need to use this paper once and for all! IYKYK!!!

I then cut out all the pieces from this fun alphabet set. I cut them out in white and black as I wasn't sure which direction I was going to go with the pieces.

Here's a closer look at the sweet little bears. You can see a bit better where I added some dimensional white paint to simulate snow.

Here's a closer look at all the fun layers. Once I added my finished bear pieces to my stitched circle die with the patterned paper mat, I added all of that to the stitched scallop rectangle with a corresponding paper mat. Notice I trimmed the trees to stay in line with the edge of the circle mat. I thought that gave it a nice finished inline look.

Here's a closer look at the letters. Instead of using the letter O, I used some hearts from the slimline heart background die. I love that die as it cuts out a ton of assorted sized hearts in one pass! I added some Stickles glitter glue to give them some subtle sparkle.

Here is one last look at my finished card. I think it turned out so super cute and makes me think of me and my hubby!
