One Sip at a Time

Good morning!  It's Jeanne here today.  I hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to the long weekend.  One extra day to craft!  September always puts me in the mood for fall (even though technically it doesn't start for a few weeks and it was in the 90s today!) so today's card has some fall colors.
This card features the adorable Mr Snuggles die along with the Cup of Latte die and new Nested Stitched Eyelet Rectangle Set.
My card base was cut from dark brown cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at the 5 1/2 inch mark to make a top folding A2 card.  I used vanilla cardstock for the front panel and cut it to 4 x 5 1/4.  I die cut a panel from the plaid paper using the largest of the Stitched Eyelet dies and I cut a panel of the striped paper 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches.
I used a sponge dauber and distress ink to color the sides of the bear and cup.  Then I cut the "latte" and steam from the same striped paper. His eyes are colored in with a multi-liner pen.  I love that you can move Mr Snuggles arms to pose him various ways!
After I glued the striped panel to the front I distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I also distressed the edges of the plaid panel.  I used ribbon to mimic the plaid pattern on the front panel,
and I added the sentiment underneath.  The sentiment is embossed in copper on dark brown cardstock cut to 1/2 x 4 inches for the sentiment.
When all the panel elements were glued down, I adhered it to the card with foam strips.  I then added the bear and cup with foam dots.

Thanks for stopping by today - I hope you have time this long weekend to be creative!

Are You Ready for a Latte?

Hello everyone,

It's Donna here with another clean and simple card for your inspiration.  Who loves coffee?  I do!  I drink at least one cup a day.  The Scrapping Cottage has some really cute coffee dies and I am using the "Cup of Latte" on my card today.

How I put my card together:

1.  Card base A2 4 1/4 X 5 1/2
2.  The design papers measure 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
3.  I cut a small piece of design paper and tucked it under the pink layer
4.  Cut the circle out of the cross stitched circle die (third die from the largest)
5.  Stamped my sentiment
6.  Die cut all the pieces from the Cup of Latte die set
7.  Put the coffee pieces together
8.  The steam coming out of the cup is cut from vellum

All done!  This is such a cute card and I love this die set....you will see this again.  CottageCutz has a new release for this month, I hope you will stop over at the store and check it out.  All of the new release is 25% off.  Come back and visit the blog soon, the design team will have some wonderful creations for your inspiration!

Latte Time

Hi all! Vladka here today!
Welcome to my first post in 2016 for SC blog. In new year I like to start with cards which are made for any other occasion but for Christmas or New Year and so I created Coffee invitation for a friend. I used die from Christmas release Holiday Cocoa, but used it another way together with old die Cup of Latte.
This is really simple card, where I added some splashes of Tea dye Distress Ink and water mixture. Cup is cut out of red cardstock and distressed with Aged mahogany Distress Ink. All other pieces were cut out of kraft cardstock and colored with Tea dye Distress Ink. At the end I also stamped word time and card was finished.
This is it from my side today and I wish you all great weekend.

Boxwood Vine Wreath and Cup of Latte

Happy Thursday!

Kathy here with you and today I have two projects to show you!  First, is a card using the Boxwood Vine Wreath die and stamps.

I cut the die pieces using pink, green, and brown card stock.  After cutting the banner in pink, I stamped it with the "Merry Christmas" stamp from the set in black ink.  The pieces were shaped and inked before assembling.  I arranged them all on a white snowflake embossed background to make it all pop.

The second project is a gift card holder that I made using the Cup of Latte and Fancy Envelope Dies. Here is one side with the latte cups.  (The green is a little brighter in the picture than it should be, it's actually the same green as in the card.)

Here is the other side with the flap and velcro enclosure.

The Fancy Envelope base is cut with Certainly Celery card stock.  The pieces are cut with white, pink card stock, and the Merry Little Christmas designer paper by My Mind's Eye.  I then added a little lace, twine, and buttons to embellish it.

These are the dies I used on my projects.

Latte Love

Hi, all. Vladka Here!
This is my last post for this year and it was such fun to play with Scrapping Cottage dies all year.
For my "coffee love" card I used following dies: Hot Drink CupCup of Latte and Tweet Love. There is no such thing like good cup of coffee and I love it with milk, this is why I put "latte" on the cup.
So, let's grab cup of coffee and relax. There is just couple of days till new year and I wish you all  happy New Year!
